Position OverviewThe Logistics Support Specialist plays a crucial role in facilitating the operations of our Service Warehouse. This position encompasses a variety of responsibilities aimed at ensuring efficient warehouse management and customer service support.
Key ResponsibilitiesWarehouse Operations (70%)
- Process and coordinate outgoing shipments and incoming deliveries.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels by monitoring stock and placing orders as necessary.
- Organize and manage the storage of products and customer orders.
- Utilize computerized inventory management systems to track and update stock levels.
- Source specialized components from suppliers to fulfill customer requirements.
- Ensure the warehouse environment is clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
- Assist in stocking Service Technicians' vehicles with necessary parts.
- Handle returns and manage the return merchandise authorization process.
- Occasionally perform local deliveries and pickups as needed.
- Assemble basic components and pallets as required.
- Support Service Technicians with inventory management and ordering systems.
Customer Interaction (30%)
- Provide direct customer service through in-person interactions and phone inquiries.
- Assist customers in identifying suitable parts for their specific needs.
- Facilitate on-site purchases and coordinate ordering processes.
- Adhere to safety protocols and standard operating procedures to maintain a secure working environment.
- Strive for zero incidents by working safely and responsibly.
- Understand and implement warehouse safety procedures, including the safe use of tools and equipment.
- Operate machinery only after receiving proper training.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Strong verbal communication skills for effective interaction with customers and suppliers.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with computerized systems and applications.
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to assist in various areas.
- Capability to operate a forklift safely.
- Experience with hand and power tools in a safe manner.
This position involves working in a manufacturing and warehouse environment, which may be noisy and hot during certain conditions. The role requires physical stamina, including standing, moving products, and lifting items up to 50 lbs unassisted and 150 lbs with assistance. Concentration is essential when operating forklifts and power tools.
Work Arrangement: Onsite
