Position Overview:
The Project Scheduler plays a crucial role in formulating and sustaining the project timeline. Responsibilities include documenting and monitoring contract modifications and scope adjustments. This position will assist the Project Team with various tasks throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project management, planners, and estimators to create comprehensive project plans encompassing cost, schedule, risk, scope, and change management
- Assist in establishing internal control processes and procedures for projects
- Monitor and assess cost and schedule trends, making necessary adjustments to forecasts
- Conduct analyses and generate progress reports on costs, schedules, and risks
- Support project close-out documentation and reporting as needed
- Utilize critical path methodology to ensure timely completion of milestone tasks
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 with a minimum of 6 years of experience
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with databases and generate reports
- Familiarity with project management, engineering, and construction processes is preferred
- Experience in cost and schedule development and monitoring practices is advantageous
- Nuclear industry experience and Project Management Professional (PMP) certification are considered assets
- Proficient in computer applications, particularly Primavera P6, Excel, and MS Project
- Security clearance with Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is a plus
