Qualifications

  • Experience: Previous experience is considered an asset.
  • Certification: Must hold certification from a provincial or territorial association.
Work Environment
  • Work is conducted in a radiological laboratory.
  • Employment is within a hospital or medical facility.
Key Responsibilities
  • Clearly explain imaging procedures to patients.
  • Accurately record and process results from imaging procedures.
  • Implement radiation protection protocols to ensure patient safety.
  • Conduct basic verification and quality control checks on imaging and film processing equipment.
  • Maintain detailed records and process patient data efficiently.
  • Provide attentive care and monitoring for patients during examinations.
  • Operate ultrasound imaging equipment to capture and document images.
  • Coordinate work activities with other medical departments.
  • Perform administrative tasks including record keeping and scheduling.
  • Compile and verify various medical documents and applications.
  • Offer support and information to patients throughout the testing process.
  • Gather medical histories from patients and their families, as well as other healthcare professionals.
