Radiologic Technologist Position

The Radiologic Technologist plays a crucial role in the healthcare system, responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures that assist in patient care.
Qualifications- Education: Completion of a College or CEGEP program in Medical Radiologic Technology.
- Experience: Previous experience is considered an asset.
- Certification: Must be certified by a provincial or territorial association.
- Settings include radiological laboratories and hospital or medical facilities.
- Explain imaging procedures to patients to ensure understanding and comfort.
- Record and process results from imaging procedures accurately.
- Implement radiation protection measures to ensure patient safety.
- Conduct basic verification and quality control checks on imaging and film processing equipment.
- Document and manage patient data effectively.
- Provide care and monitor patients throughout the examination process.
- Operate ultrasound imaging equipment to generate and document images.
- Coordinate activities with other departments to enhance workflow.
- Perform administrative tasks such as record keeping and scheduling.
- Compile and verify applications, licenses, permits, and other necessary documentation.
- Assist patients by providing information and care during tests.
- Gather medical information from patients and other healthcare professionals.
