Position OverviewThe Lead Cybersecurity Analyst is an integral member of the Cybersecurity Division, dedicated to safeguarding our digital infrastructure from cyber threats. This role encompasses the development and enforcement of our cybersecurity policies and protocols. Key responsibilities include evaluating the organization's security posture, investigating suspicious activities, managing advanced security incidents, and reporting on cybersecurity initiatives to senior management. The analyst will oversee cybersecurity operations, including the configuration and management of security tools such as Microsoft Defender, Crowdstrike, and firewalls, as well as conducting comprehensive cybersecurity assessments.
This pivotal position requires collaboration with risk management and audit teams, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic technology goals. The analyst will present findings and strategic recommendations to leadership, contributing to the overall cybersecurity roadmap and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and manage SIEM services, vulnerability management systems, and other security tools.
- Monitor alerts, conduct investigations, and escalate issues in accordance with the incident response framework.
- Execute threat hunting activities to identify and mitigate potential threats, providing actionable insights to technical teams.
- Develop and refine use cases; design secure solutions to address business needs.
- Ensure robust protection and monitoring for all external-facing systems and applications.
- Create and maintain dashboards, generate reports for security tools, and provide monthly compliance metrics.
- Regularly update and review standard operating procedures for security tools and processes.
- Address security inquiries from various stakeholders, including employees and auditors.
- Lead internal cybersecurity audits and conduct cybersecurity drills.
- Stay informed on emerging security threats, countermeasures, and advancements in Cloud Security and SaaS technologies.
- Monitor and manage service requests across diverse platforms.
- Quickly identify and resolve issues while ensuring high-quality service delivery to clients.
- Analyze significant errors and recommend permanent solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Document and analyze escalations and trends to minimize future issues.
- Collaborate with team members to drive solutions for ongoing problems.
- Identify and communicate security risks in compliance with regulations.
- Lead the evaluation and testing of new cybersecurity technologies.
- Develop and update cybersecurity policies and guidelines.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders on cybersecurity matters, providing solutions and recommendations.
- Maintain an information security risk register and support internal and external audits.
- Assist in the creation and delivery of cybersecurity awareness training for staff.
- Manage and update next-gen antivirus products as necessary.
- Develop a comprehensive cybersecurity compliance framework that meets legal and regulatory standards.
- Ensure the IT compliance program is effective and meets legal requirements.
- Contribute to the development of cybersecurity policies, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks.
- Research and assess emerging cybersecurity threats and management strategies.
- Conduct risk and vulnerability assessments to identify weaknesses and implement protective measures.
- Monitor for unauthorized activities and respond to security incidents.
- Actively participate in the infrastructure team, fostering a collaborative environment and sharing knowledge.
- Provide after-hours support on a rotational basis.
- Perform additional tasks as required.
- Diploma or certification in Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, or a related discipline; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3-5 years of experience managing security tools and processes.
- Proficient in incident detection and response.
- Experience with SIEM deployment and SOC management.
- Knowledge of security processes and vulnerability management.
- Familiarity with endpoint protection and DLP deployment.
- Understanding of network and cloud security (firewalls, IPS).
- Experience with corporate infrastructure (VMWare/Windows, M365).
- Cloud experience (Azure) is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, capable of addressing diverse stakeholder perspectives.
- Good presentation abilities.
- Experience with Network and Application Firewalls, DLP, EPP, PAM, and Email Security.
- Familiarity with Crowdstrike Falcon and Microsoft Defender platforms.
- Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, Mac OS), cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), and networking protocols (TLS, DHCP, DNS).
- Understanding of security frameworks such as ISO27001, HITRUST CSF, and BIMCO.
- Excellent technical knowledge of operating systems and various security technologies.
- Ability to explain core processes, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Develop and implement data collection systems to enhance data quality.
- Analyze and interpret trends in complex data sets.
- Awareness of industrial operational technologies.
- Relevant security certifications (Security+, CISSP, CEH, SANS, vendor-specific certifications) are advantageous.
