Position Overview

Are you ready to apply your academic knowledge in a prominent Pathology Department? The Eastern Ontario Regional Laboratory Association (EORLA) is seeking a dedicated Clinical Pathology Specialist to become a vital part of our team.

This full-time role involves:

  • Overseeing the management of sample reception and accessioning.
  • Preparing samples for diagnostic evaluations.
  • Conducting analysis, interpretation, and reporting of clinical and pathology results.
  • Assisting in the training of new staff members.
  • Identifying and resolving issues with unsuitable specimens.
  • Maintaining comprehensive records of all tests and procedures conducted.

EORLA is a member-driven, non-profit entity that operates 18 accredited clinical laboratories within acute-care hospitals, providing essential services across the Champlain Region of Eastern Ontario. Our laboratories perform approximately 13 million diagnostic tests annually, covering a wide range of disciplines including Anatomic Pathology, Biochemistry, Transfusion Medicine, Hematopathology, and Microbiology/Virology.

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • Knowledge of relevant accreditation standards and healthcare regulations.
  • Understanding of medical laboratory theory, principles, and practices.
  • Bilingualism is considered an asset.
