Position Overview
The Eastern Ontario Regional Laboratory Association (EORLA) is seeking a qualified Anatomical Pathologist with a specialization in Molecular Pathology to enhance our Division of Diagnostic and Molecular Pathology. This role involves operating within a cutting-edge molecular oncology diagnostic laboratory that utilizes next-generation sequencing (NGS) platforms for the evaluation of solid and hematologic malignancies, thereby supporting precision medicine and clinical research initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Signing out molecular pathology reports.
- Engaging in diagnostic pathology within their areas of expertise.
- Contributing to a subspecialty-based practice with a focus on gastrointestinal, genitourinary, gynecological, and breast pathology.
- Participating in academic activities, including collaborative research and teaching.
Basic Requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:
- A Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree.
- Eligibility for licensure by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
- Certification from the Royal College of Physicians (Canada) or equivalent in Anatomical Pathology.
- Additional certification or eligibility in Molecular Pathology or Molecular Genetics.
All new employees will be required to provide a satisfactory Criminal Records Check.
