We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Produce Clerk to join our team at Fortinos. As a key member of our produce department, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, receiving and distributing merchandise, and maintaining a high level of product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Provide courteous and personalized service to customers, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
  • Merchandise Receipt and Distribution: Receive, unload, and distribute merchandise to allocated sections as orders arrive.
  • Product Preparation: Prepare merchandise for display by trimming and packaging produce as per Company standards.
  • Display Maintenance: Fill, rotate, and maintain displays, ensuring the quality of produce meets Company standards.
  • PEP Program Compliance: Follow the set guidelines as per the updated version of the PEP Program (Produce Evaluation of Processes).
  • Customer Assistance: Assist customers with any questions and maintain good customer relations.
  • Sanitation and Safety: Maintain the sanitation standards and safety procedures in accordance with Company policy.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other general duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Customer Service Skills: Exceptional customer service skills are essential for this role.
  • Produce Experience: Minimum 2 years' produce experience in a retail environment is required.
  • Flexibility: Flexibility to work over night shifts, including weekends, is necessary.
  • Leadership Qualities: Demonstrated leadership qualities with proven ability to delegate are required.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
