Salad Bar Department Head

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Salad Bar Department Manager to join our team at Fortinos. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient functioning of the Salad Bar department, providing customers with the best quality products, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team of Salad Bar staff to ensure efficient and courteous customer service.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries, requests, and complaints, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Maximize sales and gross profit, meeting sales goals and budgets.
- Organize and set up the department, ensuring proper signage and displays.
- Minimize shrink and reprocess daily inventory effectively.
- Order, receive, and inventory merchandise, ensuring accurate displays.
- Hire and train part-time staff, scheduling clerks to control wage costs.
- Interpret and administer company policy, ensuring compliance with the union contract.
- Maintain equipment and ensure the safety and sanitation of the department.
Requirements:
- Three to five years' experience in the retail Produce industry.
- Prior management experience is an asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work a variety of hours, including days, evenings, night shifts, and weekends.
