Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Job Summary:

The Shipping Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate shipping records and ensuring timely distribution of orders. This role requires attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Verify load capacity of trailers and authority of trucks to match shipping records;
  • Verify inventory shipped vs. inventory being produced;
  • Match received loading sheets to orders and provide to dispatch;
  • Release orders to process gatekeepers, manifests, and bills of lading;
  • Ensure compliance to legal regulations and company policies;
  • Prepare and print shipping labels corresponding to shipping needs;
  • Track inventory and report any shortages to the sales team to update records;
  • Report to management on activities and issues;
  • Perform other duties as required to support the Shipping Department.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent;
  • Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field is a plus;
  • 3-4 years of general shipping experience;
  • Solid knowledge of logistics procedures, shipping, and receiving procedures;
  • Comfortable with paperwork and information systems;
  • Experience in preparing shipping documents (e.g., ASN);
  • Computer savvy with excellent knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel);
  • Open to change and willing to learn new skills;
  • Ability to stay organized in a fast-paced dynamic environment;
  • Ability to follow up on pending issues;
  • Ability to meet deadlines;
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Problem-solving abilities.

Work Environment:

This is a full-time, permanent position that requires working in person.

License/Certification:

  • Forklift License (preferred).
