Editorial Assistant

To enhance our Editorial team, we are seeking recent graduates who are passionate about maintaining connections with scientific research by assisting researchers globally in publishing their findings. This is a full-time, in-office, entry-level, and permanent role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the editorial workflow for academic journals within your area of expertise;
  • Facilitate the peer review process for submitted articles and manage editorial decisions;
  • Oversee communication between all parties involved in the publication process;
  • Collaborate with fellow editorial and production team members;
  • Ensure scholarly articles are meticulously edited and published within strict deadlines while maintaining high consistency.

Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in a relevant discipline, such as Environmental Sciences, Materials Sciences, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Occupational Health, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Oncology, Health Sciences, or Pharmaceutical Science. A PhD in any of these fields is advantageous.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English;
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • A collaborative team player capable of thriving in a dynamic, international setting;
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain a broader perspective;
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities;
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills;
  • Previous experience in scholarly publishing is a plus;
  • Experience in creating presentations and writing is beneficial.

As a successful candidate, you will receive comprehensive training in editorial tasks, working closely with Managing Editors and learning the process of transforming research articles from submission to publication. Training will be supervised by an assigned mentor during the initial months. Depending on your background, you will be allocated to journals pertinent to your field of study or research. No prior editorial experience is necessary; however, familiarity with the academic editorial process is advantageous.
