Editorial Support Specialist

To enhance our Editorial division, we are seeking motivated recent graduates who are passionate about maintaining connections with scientific inquiry by assisting researchers globally in disseminating their latest findings. This is a full-time, in-office, entry-level, and permanent role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the editorial workflow for scholarly journals within your area of expertise;
  • Coordinate the peer review process for submitted articles and manage editorial outcomes;
  • Oversee communication among all stakeholders involved in the publication journey;
  • Collaborate effectively with fellow editorial and production team members;
  • Guarantee that academic papers are meticulously edited and published within stringent deadlines while maintaining a high level of consistency.

Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in a relevant discipline, such as Environmental Sciences, Materials Sciences, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Occupational Health, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Oncology, Health Sciences, or Pharmaceutical Science. A PhD in any of these fields is advantageous.
  • Exceptional proficiency in written and spoken English;
  • Advanced skills in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, international setting;
  • Detail-oriented with a strong ability to maintain a broader perspective;
  • Excellent organizational and time management capabilities;
  • Strong communication and coordination skills;
  • Prior experience in scholarly publishing is beneficial;
  • Experience in creating presentations and writing is a plus.

As a successful candidate, you will undergo comprehensive training in editorial practices, working closely with Managing Editors and learning the process of handling research articles from submission to publication. Training will be conducted on the job during the initial months, guided by an assigned mentor. Depending on your academic background, you will be allocated to journals pertinent to your field of study or research. While prior editorial experience is not mandatory, familiarity with the academic editorial process is a valuable asset.
