As an Editorial Support Specialist, your responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitating the editorial workflow for scholarly research journals within your area of expertise;
  • Coordinating the peer review process for submitted articles and managing editorial outcomes;
  • Managing correspondence among all stakeholders involved in the publication process;
  • Collaborating with fellow editorial and production team members;
  • Ensuring that academic articles are meticulously edited and published in accordance with strict deadlines while maintaining a high level of consistency.

Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in a relevant discipline, such as:
    • Environmental sciences, materials sciences, mechanical engineering, physics, occupational health;
    • Chemistry, biochemistry, biology, molecular biology, oncology, health sciences, nutrition, food sciences, pharmaceutical science.
    • A PhD in any of the aforementioned fields is advantageous.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English;
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, international setting;
  • Detail-oriented with a comprehensive perspective;
  • Strong organizational and time management capabilities;
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills;
  • Previous experience in scholarly publishing is a plus;
  • Experience in developing presentations and writing is beneficial.

As a successful candidate, you will receive comprehensive training in editorial practices, working closely with Managing Editors and learning the process of handling research articles from submission to publication. Training will be conducted on the job during the initial months. Depending on your academic background, you will be assigned to journals relevant to your field of study or research. While prior editorial experience is not mandatory, familiarity with the academic editorial process is a plus.
