HSE Coordinator

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and oversee the Cementation Training Initiative at the operational site.
  • Manage the training program in accordance with the Ontario Common Core Modules for Underground Hardrock Mining.
  • Evaluate the training requirements of the workforce.
  • Organize training sessions for personnel.
  • Create and deliver the WHMIS Training Program.
  • Maintain training records for each employee.
  • Review and update written job procedures.
  • Facilitate safety meetings and distribute task cards.
  • Coordinate First Aid and CPR training sessions.
  • Assist in formulating site safety protocols and addressing safety issues.
  • Participate in necessary training courses and conferences relevant to the Ontario Common Core.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

General Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure a safe working environment.
  • Support the team’s safety initiatives.
  • Ensure that damaged equipment is reported and not utilized.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization on site.
  • Follow established procedures and work standards.
  • Utilize safety systems outlined in the site safety management framework.

Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of pre-employment assessments.
  • Relevant educational background and certifications.
  • 10-15 years of experience in the industry.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
  • Capability to foster relationships and collaborate within a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Understanding of confidentiality and ability to work independently.
