As a HSE Coordinator, you will be responsible for:
- Conducting safety orientations, job site inspections, and accident/injury reports.
- Monitoring employees and subcontractors on site to ensure compliance to safety procedures and escalating issues to resolution.
- Identifying and preventing hazardous situations and taking necessary measures to correct them.
- Organizing and conducting training programs, including WHMIS, Fall Protection, Personal Protection Equipment, and CPR/First Aid.
- Creating and maintaining a safety-first culture among site staff.
- Participating in Joint Health & Safety Committee Inspections & Meetings.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 3-5 years of safety supervision experience, preferably on Heavy Civil projects.
- Knowledge of safety regulations for Ontario, Canada.
- The National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) certificate or working towards it.
- The ability to delegate and influence others to follow safety rules and regulations.
