At EllisDon, we are seeking a dedicated professional to take on the role of HSE Coordinator. In this position, you will:
- Oversee safety orientations, conduct thorough job site inspections, and manage accident and injury documentation.
- Monitor the activities of employees and subcontractors to ensure adherence to safety protocols, addressing any issues that arise.
- Proactively identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
- Design and facilitate training sessions covering essential topics such as WHMIS, Fall Protection, Personal Protective Equipment, and CPR/First Aid.
- Foster a culture of safety by educating all site personnel on the importance of maintaining a safety-first mindset.
- Engage in Joint Health & Safety Committee Inspections and Meetings to promote collaborative safety efforts.
Is this the right opportunity for you?
- You possess 3-5 years of experience in safety supervision, ideally within Heavy Civil projects.
- You are knowledgeable about safety regulations applicable in Ontario, Canada.
- You hold or are in the process of obtaining the National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) certification.
- You have the capability to delegate tasks and influence others to adhere to safety standards.
