Audit Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Audit Specialist to join our team at CP. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting audits on CP Interline agreements, focusing on data accuracy, rate adjustments, compliance, operational value, and root cause analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough audits on CP Interline agreements, identifying areas for improvement and providing recommendations for enhancement.
- Serve as the go-to expert for critical Interline projects, ensuring timely updates to management on project statuses, risks, timelines, and benefits.
- Drive continuous improvement by engaging stakeholders to enhance efficiencies and process improvements, leading cross-functional teams towards high-standard analysis and recommendations.
- Implement and execute business opportunities related to Interline agreements by collaborating with departments such as Commercial, Operations, Strategy, and others to advance CP-friendly changes.
- Support the analysis of revenue and expense data related to Interline Agreements on a monthly basis.
Requirements
- University degree (or equivalent experience) in accounting, finance, business, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
- Railroad knowledge, particularly in operations, commercial, or legal domains, is an asset.
- Required application expertise includes SAP, Business Objects, BPC, Windows, and Microsoft Office with intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to quickly grasp and apply new concepts, and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication, strong interpersonal skills for vendor management, and the ability to prioritize under continuous deadlines.
- Must work well with multiple stakeholders.
