Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Interline Agreements Audit Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency of our interline agreements.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive audits of CPKC Interline agreements, focusing on data integrity, rate adjustments, regulatory compliance, operational value, and root cause analysis. Generate detailed audit reports outlining findings and recommendations for improvement.
- Serve as the primary expert on interline agreements for critical projects, keeping management informed about project status, potential risks, timelines, and anticipated benefits.
- Drive continuous process improvement by engaging with stakeholders across various departments to enhance efficiencies. Lead cross-functional teams in conducting high-standard analyses and developing actionable recommendations.
- Identify and implement business opportunities related to interline agreements by collaborating with Commercial, Operations, Strategy, and other relevant departments to advance mutually beneficial changes for CPKC.
- Provide monthly support for revenue and expense data associated with Interline Agreements.
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in auditing or a similar role within the transportation industry.
- Familiarity with railroad operations, commercial practices, or legal aspects is highly advantageous.
- Proficiency in SAP, Business Objects, BPC, Windows, and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; the capacity to quickly grasp new concepts and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective vendor management. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders across various departments.
