Director of Sales Job Description

CatchLight is a visual-first media organization that leverages the power of visual storytelling to inform, connect, and transform communities. We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Sales to join our team and drive revenue growth through our three earned revenue streams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a sales plan to meet or exceed annual revenue targets for our Newsroom memberships, B2B sales, and Corporate sponsorships.
  • Lead solicitations, prospecting, and relationship-building with clients to drive sales and revenue growth.
  • Effectively communicate value propositions with prospects through virtual meetings, presentations, and proposals.
  • Manage and track all prospect/client interactions through Salesforce CRM.
  • Develop contracts that align with CatchLight's services and meet client needs.
  • Work with Local program leadership to develop consistent practices for onboarding and offboarding newsroom clients.
  • Provide quarterly reports on progress toward annual goals to senior staff.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of prior experience in sales.
  • Experience and proficiency with Salesforce CRM.
  • Passion for and understanding of client cultivation, local news, and/or photojournalism.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple sales funnels, clients, and prospects.
