Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops and executes innovative strategies to enhance Indigenous student recruitment
  • Establishes and nurtures partnerships with educational institutions, governmental bodies, and community organizations
  • Addresses inquiries and disseminates information regarding educational programs and available services
  • Oversees the activities of Student Assistants and Co-op Students
  • Collaborates with the Associate Student Recruitment Advisor to optimize recruitment efforts
  • Ensures effective onsite management during college events

Qualifications:

  • Preference for candidates with Indigenous heritage or significant cultural insight
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, accompanied by a minimum of 2 years of pertinent experience
  • Familiarity with the British Columbia post-secondary education landscape
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Comprehensive understanding of Indigenous history, traditions, and cultural practices
  • Proven experience in engaging with Indigenous communities
  • Background in supporting Indigenous learners
  • Knowledge of financial services and related processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Capability to implement effective student recruitment strategies
  • Experience in organizing events and managing volunteers
  • Ability to supervise and mentor student staff
  • A valid driver's license in British Columbia is preferred
