Job Title: Mental Health Professionals

Medavie Health Services is a leading provider of primary health care solutions, emergency medical services, and community paramedicine programs across Canada.

We are seeking highly skilled Mental Health Professionals to join our team in Listowel, Ontario. As a Mental Health Professional, you will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care and support to individuals and families in need.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct in-home client visits and provide client support through Tele-Support access line.
  • Assess client's condition and presenting problem, and contributing factors, taking into consideration the environment, individual, family, and social context.
  • Collaborate and share information with law enforcement and/or Paramedic Services.
  • Recommend and facilitate referrals to appropriate alternative resources as indicated.
  • Employ a technical knowledge of psychotropic medication, including expected outcomes and the ability to identify a need for further evaluation or consultation with physician/psychiatry.
Requirements:
  • Considerable clinical experience, preferably involving assessment of and exposure to acute as well as chronic and persistent mental illness.
  • Must be registered and in good standing with the Ontario College of Nurses.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide initial psychological interviews and assessments.
  • Experience on interdisciplinary teams, in program development and case management.
