Shift Manager, Slots, Cage and Gaming Operations

Job Summary
Under the general direction of the Manager, Slots, Cage and Gaming Operations, this position is responsible for the day-to-day activities of the slots and Cage operation on a shift basis while establishing and contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members. This role is responsible for assisting with the planning and directing of slots operations, ensuring adherence to all policies and procedures, motivating and leading by example, and assisting in providing a learning environment. The Shift Manager, Slots, Cage and Gaming Operations assists with developing performance objectives and delivering performance evaluations, assists with the implementation of all new slot operations initiatives. Ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example, and supports Great Canadian Entertainment's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides input for team member performance objectives and evaluations
- Schedules and supervises team members; edits timesheets for payroll
- Monitors shift work assignments
- Resolves customer disputes; reports irregularities, disputes, and suspicious activities; prepares incident reports
- Maintains slot inventories and supplies
- Liaises and communicates effectively with all operational departments
- Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders (guests, ownership, and team members)
- Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations
- Manages other initiatives as required
Requirements
- Post-secondary education or suitable combination of education and experience an asset
- Minimum 2 years of experience in slot or cage operations
- Minimum 3 years of leadership experience
- Serving it Right Certification
- Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
- Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective, and service-oriented communication
- Computer literacy in MS Office
Work Environment Considerations
- Regular casino environment, standing for long periods of time, non-traditional work hours
