About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Superintendent to join our team at Bird Construction Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination
    • Coordinate the activities of subcontractors and ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
    • Evaluate daily operations and make adjustments as needed to ensure project success.
  • Budgeting and Financial Management
    • Prepare and submit construction project budget estimates.
    • Plan and manage budgets to ensure that projects are completed within budget.
  • Staff Supervision
    • Recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers as needed.
    • Hire and supervise the activities of subcontractors.
  • Quality Control and Risk Management
    • Develop and implement quality control programs to ensure that projects meet our high standards.
    • Develop risk management plans to mitigate potential risks and ensure project success.
  • Reporting and Communication
    • Prepare reports on project progress and submit them to management.
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including contractors, staff, and clients.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as construction management or engineering.
  • Experience
    • 5 years or more of experience in a construction management or supervisory role.
  • Skills
    • Strong leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
