Job Overview

Reporting directly to the Project Manager, this role entails overseeing the management of technical documentation essential for the successful execution of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the project manager and site superintendent to ensure seamless project flow.
  • Engage in site meetings with various professionals and subcontractors to facilitate communication.
  • Manage change orders between professionals and subcontractors for accurate cost estimation and execution of work.
  • Coordinate and monitor subcontractor activities related to the progress of work on-site.
  • Implement quality control measures for finishing tasks to meet project standards.
  • Prepare and address technical inquiries regarding plans and specifications.
  • Assist the project manager in processing payment requests from clients and subcontractors.
  • Participate in the review and management of shop drawings and samples.
  • Support the monitoring of 'Conflict Detections' during BIM project execution.
  • Assist in tracking and managing deficiencies upon project completion.
  • Ensure the compilation of final project documentation in partnership with the Administrative Assistant.
  • Oversee the services provided by consultants, including drawings, specifications, and construction supervision.
  • Contribute to the development of project schedules.
  • Perform additional tasks as required by the position.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (construction, building, or civil) or a technical diploma in construction, architecture, or civil engineering.
  • 1 to 5 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and MS Project.
  • Familiarity with Procore is considered an asset.
  • LEED accreditation is a plus.
