About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of People & Culture to join our team at Pomeroy Lodging. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to drive business results and improve the overall employee experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning and Alignment:
    • Develop and implement comprehensive People & Culture strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives.
    • Collaborate closely with the Executive team to ensure seamless execution and effective communication.
  • Leadership and Employee Relations:
    • Lead the development and implementation of initiatives to foster a culture of trust, respect, and open communication.
    • Provide guidance and support to leaders at all levels to ensure effective employee relations and conflict resolution.
  • Recruitment and Selection:
    • Oversee the recruitment and selection process to ensure a diverse and talented workforce.
    • Develop and implement effective onboarding programs to ensure a positive and productive employee experience.
  • Compensation, Benefits, and Compliance:
    • Collaborate with senior leaders to design and implement competitive compensation and benefits packages.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations.
  • Training and Development:
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
    • Collaborate with leaders to integrate training and development into the company's overall strategy.
  • Health, Safety, and Wellness:
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
    • Collaborate with leaders to promote employee wellness and engagement.
  • Internal Communication and Collaboration:
    • Develop and implement effective internal communication strategies to engage employees and promote a sense of community.
    • Collaborate with leaders to build strong relationships and foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork.
  • Metrics and Analytics:
    • Develop and implement metrics to measure the effectiveness of People & Culture initiatives.
    • Collaborate with leaders to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Visibility and Accessibility:
    • Ensure a visible and accessible presence throughout the organization.
    • Collaborate with leaders to ensure effective communication and problem-solving.
  • Personal and Professional Conduct:
    • Model the company's core values and behaviors.
    • Collaborate with leaders to promote a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • 10 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in a luxury hotel environment.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong collaboration skills, ability to work cross-functionally and across the wider organization.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
