Director of People and Culture

We are seeking a seasoned Human Resources professional to join our team as Director of People and Culture at Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge. As a key member of our Executive Committee, you will be responsible for leading our Human Resources function and driving strategic initiatives to support the Resort's overall business goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning and Alignment: Develop and implement People & Culture strategies that align with the company's overall business goals, collaborating closely with the wider Executive team as a business partner.
  • Leadership and Employee Relations: Lead the P&C initiatives across the Resort, providing guidance and support to leaders at all levels to foster a culture of trust, honesty, respect, and gratitude.
  • Recruitment and Selection: Oversee the recruitment and selection strategy for the Resort, ensuring all pipelines are active and working in collaboration with Corporate P&C to maximize recruitment efforts.
  • Compensation, Benefits, and Compliance: Collaborate with senior operational and human resource leaders to design and implement total compensation packages, including recognition and incentive programs tailored to the Resort's needs.
  • Training and Development: Identify training gaps and collaborate with Corporate P&C to develop and deliver resort-wide training programs that align with the Resort's specific operational needs.
  • Health, Safety, and Wellness: Lead the implementation of health, safety, and wellness policies and procedures within the Resort, ensuring compliance through training, monitoring, and proactive safeguarding measures.
  • Internal Communication and Collaboration: Work with the Resort leadership team to build effective internal communication channels that resonate with all employees, ensuring alignment with Corporate P&C initiatives.
  • Metrics and Analytics: Utilize data to assess P&C performance against agreed KPIs, ensuring that the Resort division meets its people-related goals.
Requirements:
  • 10 years of Human Resource experience with time spent in premium or luxury hotels environments.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong collaboration skills, ability to work cross-functionally and across wider organization.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
