Senior IT Business Analyst

This role involves leading the gathering and interpretation of intricate business requirements into comprehensive system and technical specifications.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior IT Business Analyst:

  • Drive progress and achieve desired outcomes on assigned initiatives.
  • Facilitate and participate in application and solution design workshops in partnership with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Cultivate relationships throughout the organization; regularly collaborate with different departments and operational teams to enhance value and ensure transparency.
  • Serve as a vital resource throughout all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Project Life Cycle.
  • Maintain objectivity in your work to ensure that solutions align with and support business objectives.
  • Assist in resolving assigned tickets and application-related challenges.
  • Identify and escalate any issues and concerns to IT management and/or business process owners.
  • Guide stakeholders in making informed, data-driven decisions and recommendations focused on value.
  • Create and maintain necessary documentation as required.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • University or postgraduate degree in a business or STEM-related field.
  • Additional certifications demonstrating a commitment to continuous education are advantageous.
  • At least 7 years of experience in an Implementation consulting or Business Analyst role.
  • Familiarity with accounting and financial processes is a significant advantage.
  • Proven ability to effectively interpret and refine business requirements.
  • Experience with NetSuite or other ERP systems such as Oracle Cloud ERP, JDE, or SAP S/4HANA is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of change management principles is beneficial.
  • Experience in delivering business solutions within an agile framework is a plus.
  • Proficient in data analysis, queries, and reporting to support root cause analysis of issues.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on quality outcomes.
  • Ability to manage deliverables across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Self-driven with a high level of initiative, accountability, and a desire to learn.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Visio, and Wireframing Tools.
