Position Overview

Reporting directly to the Branch Manager, the Aftersales Manager will be responsible for guiding the Service and Parts Department to achieve organizational objectives. This role focuses on optimizing staffing levels, enhancing customer loyalty, facilitating employee development, and ensuring top-notch service quality. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the company's mission to boost efficiency, minimize expenses, uphold exceptional customer satisfaction, and deliver outstanding service.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful applicant will collaborate closely with both the service and parts divisions.

Service Department Duties:

  • Manage the daily functions of the service department.
  • Act as the primary contact for clients regarding service inquiries, providing estimates and resolving issues.
  • Prioritize and allocate work orders to technicians effectively.
  • Assist the service clerk with the invoicing process.
  • Engage actively in the collection of outstanding service invoices.
  • Supervise personnel and maintain a safe, productive work environment.
  • Recruit and ensure comprehensive training for new staff.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture to enhance employee retention.
  • Deliver constructive feedback to team members regarding their performance.

Parts Department Duties:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the parts department.
  • Ensure adequate staffing and manage scheduling effectively.
  • Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to address aging stock.
  • Lead the execution of quarterly promotional programs with the Parts team.
  • Develop solutions for urgent machine downtime situations where parts are unavailable.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred candidates will have 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong background in service management with the ability to lead and organize a service team while managing daily operations of a growing branch.
  • Proficient in computer applications and Microsoft software.
  • Sound mechanical and equipment knowledge is advantageous.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to work over 40 hours per week and be available for occasional evening and weekend contact.
  • Ability and readiness to travel as needed.
  • Valid driver's license required.
