Position Overview

Reporting directly to the Branch Manager, the Aftersales Operations Leader will spearhead the Service and Parts Departments to align with the company's strategic objectives. This role is pivotal in fostering productive staffing, enhancing customer loyalty, facilitating employee development, and ensuring top-notch service quality. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in advancing the company's mission to boost efficiency, minimize expenses, uphold exceptional customer satisfaction, and deliver outstanding service.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful applicant will collaborate closely with both the service and parts divisions.

Service Department Duties:

  • Manage the daily functions of the service department.
  • Act as the primary contact for clients regarding service inquiries, providing estimates and resolving concerns.
  • Prioritize work orders and delegate tasks to technicians.
  • Assist the service clerk with the invoicing process.
  • Engage actively in the recovery of outstanding service invoices.
  • Supervise staff while ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Recruit and train new personnel effectively.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture to enhance employee retention.
  • Deliver constructive feedback to team members regarding their performance.

Parts Department Duties:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the parts department.
  • Ensure adequate staffing and manage scheduling effectively.
  • Monitor inventory levels and devise strategies to address aging stock.
  • Lead the implementation of quarterly promotional programs with the Parts team.
  • Develop solutions for urgent machine downtime scenarios where parts are unavailable.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred candidates will have 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong background in service management with the ability to lead and organize a service team while managing daily operations of a growing branch.
  • Proficient in computer applications and Microsoft software.
  • Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with equipment is advantageous.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities in a dynamic work environment.
  • Willingness to work 40+ hours per week and be available for occasional evening and weekend contact.
  • Ability and readiness to travel as required.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
