Position Overview

Located in Orillia, ON, this role collaborates closely with our Chef Manager to create fresh, made-from-scratch meals for our patrons.

The Culinary Supervisor, reporting directly to the Chef Manager, is tasked with managing the daily functions of the kitchen. This includes sourcing food supplies, menu planning, assisting in food preparation and service, training kitchen staff, and ensuring adherence to Dana Hospitality's Food Safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily kitchen operations in partnership with the Chef Manager
  • Prepare, present, and serve innovative scratch-made menus
  • Ensure all food preparation complies with FOODSAFE protocols and Dana Hospitality guidelines
  • Oversee food and labor resource management within budgetary constraints
  • Conduct bi-weekly inventory management and reporting
Qualifications

What We Seek:

  • A strong passion for culinary excellence with meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive in high-pressure situations and accommodate last-minute requests
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Sous Chef in a fast-paced, full-service environment
  • Basic understanding of the financial aspects of kitchen operations
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities, with a caring and self-motivated attitude
