About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and flexible Relief Full Time Food Service Worker II to join our team at Invermere District Hospital as a Cafeteria Preparation Aide. This role involves working a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of duties within a Food Service Operation, including portioning and serving meals and beverages, setting tables and trays, collecting and unloading food service wagons, washing and peeling vegetables and fruit, and preparing items for procedures.
  • Count, weigh, and/or measure ingredients for assigned food preparation areas, prepare beverages and food items, and wash dishes and utensils.
  • Perform cleaning duties, such as sweeping and washing floors, cleaning counter tops and tables, and clerical duties, such as answering the telephone, running diet sheets off the computer, and writing information on menu cards.
  • Receive supplies and check goods received against invoices, and take and record the temperature of hot foods at point of service.
