Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and flexible Relief Full Time Food Service Worker II to join our team at Invermere District Hospital. As a Cafeteria Preparation Aide, you will play a vital role in supporting the health and wellbeing of our patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals and beverages in a dining room and/or cafeteria operation
• Set tables and trays with condiments, utensils, and napkins
• Collect and unload food service wagons
• Wash and peel vegetables and fruit
• Prepare items such as meat, fish, or poultry for procedures
• Count, weigh, and/or measure ingredients for assigned food preparation area
• Prepare beverages and food items such as sandwich fillings, nourishments, and therapeutic diet items
• Wash dishes and utensils
• Perform cleaning duties such as sweeping and washing floors, cleaning counter tops and tables
• Clerical duties such as answering the telephone, running diet sheets off the computer, and writing information on menu cards
• Receive supplies and check goods received against invoices
• Take and record temperature of hot foods at point of service
