Position Overview
Interior Health Authority is seeking a dedicated Food Service Worker II to fulfill the role of a Cafeteria Preparation Aide. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability and possess a flexible schedule to accommodate a rotating work pattern, which may include weekends and holidays as necessary.

Work Schedule Details:
  • Shifts include days from 10:17 to 18:30 and 10:30 to 18:30.
  • Guaranteed 37.5 hours per week until the return of the current employee.
  • Potential eligibility for employer-sponsored extended health, dental, and pension benefits after six months of service.
Essential Responsibilities:
As a collaborative team member, you will engage in various tasks within the Food Service Operation, including:
  • Portioning and serving meals and beverages in dining areas.
  • Setting tables and trays with necessary items such as condiments and utensils.
  • Collecting and unloading food service carts.
  • Washing and peeling vegetables and fruits.
  • Preparing ingredients for cooking processes, including meat, fish, or poultry.
  • Measuring and weighing ingredients for food preparation.
  • Creating beverages and food items, including therapeutic diet options.
  • Cleaning dishes and utensils.
  • Performing sanitation tasks such as sweeping and mopping floors.
  • Handling clerical duties, including answering phones and managing diet sheets.
  • Receiving and verifying supplies against invoices.
  • Monitoring and recording temperatures of hot foods at the point of service.
