Job Summary

We're seeking a Bilingual Claims Representative to join our team, reporting to the Assistant Manager, Claims Department. As a key member of our team, you'll provide swift responses to customer inquiries, receiving calls to address their concerns. Your day will entail offering support to customers through delivering information and solutions pertinent to their claims for Life, AD&D, A&H, PTD, and Credit Policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answer customer inquiries, responding to inbound telephone calls from customers regarding claim status and/or request for claim forms.
  • Process customer requests, responding to questions regarding claims, eligibility verification, and payments, reviewing supportive documentation, benefit forms, and certificates.
  • Stay updated on company policy, acquiring and maintaining knowledge of company policies, their features and benefits, policy contracts, provisions, processing procedures, and government regulations to provide accurate information to customers.
Requirements
  • Professional fluency in English and French with exceptional written and verbal skills, remaining calm during times of stress, conflict, or emotionally heavy details.
  • Experience interacting with customers in a claims service role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical skills, capable of using a computer and working on the Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to learn company software.
  • Self-motivation to deliver the highest quality experience to customers, with the initiative to meet personal and company goals through hard work and encouraging other team members to do the same.
