Our Team

We're adding a Bilingual Claims Examiner to our team, reporting to the Senior Manager, Claims. As a key player on the team, you'll balance a wide range of high-volume, complex claims, focusing on traditional insurance claims with opportunities to expand into other lines of business.

You'll work closely with senior team members, customers, and external contacts, reviewing, researching, verifying, approving, or denying claims. In addition, you'll have the opportunity to learn the industry and grow within the team, moving up to a more senior role, including a Team Lead or exploring other areas of the company.

What You'll Do
  • Respond to inquiries by mail or phone, placing and accepting calls involving customers, physicians, lawyers, and investigators.
  • Analyze traditional insurance claim files within the processing guidelines, updating information, and documenting the claim file with written notations of the claim status and related payment information.
  • Prepare policy decisions for additional review if applicable, creating detailed claim documentation, writing letters, and completing associated forms.
What We're Looking For
  • Insurance claims experience, knowledge of insurance practices and principles, and medical terminology.
  • Exceptional written and verbal skills, with the ability to remain calm during times of stress, conflict, or emotionally heavy details.
  • Full bilingualism in French and English, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, internal teams, lawyers, and other professionals.
