**About the Role**
Intact Financial Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Claims Specialist, Auto to join our team. As a Claims Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise to a team of claims professionals.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Act in a consultative and advisory capacity on liability determination, investigation, policy interpretation, settlement negotiation, and reserve establishment for complex personal and commercial auto claims.
- Manage highly sensitive/complex escalations and complaints, including higher-level complaints, executive complaints, media exposure, and regulatory involvement.
- Provide ongoing coaching, advice, and guidance to various key stakeholders.
- Participate or lead large projects or process improvements with limited oversight from manager.
- Facilitate integration of new processes within current operations.
- Recommend changes to documentation (business processes, user guides, and procedures) to gain efficiency.
- Review and audit auto claims files to ensure compliance with established guidelines and processes.
- Assist management and provide backup support depending on business needs.
**Requirements:**
- Strong technical skills in automobile claims and experience in dealing with legal and regulatory policy interpretation and implementation.
- Minimum 8 years of Auto Claims experience.
- Proven ability to influence, advise, and coach others to deliver results.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Effective coordination and negotiation skills.
- Workforce management and experience in a contact center environment would be an asset.
- University degree or any combination of training and experience deemed relevant for the role.
