About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Clinician to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a key member of our Mental Health & Addictions Services department, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive assessment, care planning, and treatment coordination for designated clients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct psychosocial care, counseling, and group work to clients and their families
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare providers and the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement client-centered care plans
  • Facilitate client self-management and provide education on mental health and wellness
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders to enhance service delivery
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work or Clinical Counseling
  • Registration with the BC College of Social Workers (BCCSW) or the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC)
  • Experience working with Indigenous populations and knowledge of Aboriginal/First Nations mental wellness health system needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
