About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Clinician to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a key member of our Mental Health & Addictions Services department, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive assessment, care planning, and treatment coordination for designated clients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct psychosocial care, counseling, and group work to clients and their families
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare providers and the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
  • Provide education and linkage to relevant specialized complex care resources
  • Facilitate client self-management and empowerment
  • Develop and maintain relationships with First Nations communities and organizations to provide culturally sensitive care
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work or Clinical Counselling
  • Registration with the BC College of Social Workers (BCCSW) or the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC)
  • Knowledge of Aboriginal/First Nations mental wellness health system needs and cultural principles
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
