Canadian French Linguistic Quality Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Canadian French Linguistic Quality Manager to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the delivery of high-quality translations for our clients, upholding the highest standards of linguistic accuracy and fluency.

Responsibilities
  • Client Focus: Deeply understand client needs and priorities to effectively guide the Localization Quality Program.
  • Feedback Management: Effectively manage feedback from internal teams regarding translated content, ensuring clear communication and timely resolution.
  • Quality Maintenance: Continuously assess and enhance the quality of Translation Memories, ensuring their relevance and accuracy to optimize translation productivity.
  • Quality Metrics Analysis: Analyze linguistic quality metrics using industry-standard frameworks like MQM (Multidimensional Quality Metrics) and ATMS (Amazon Translation Management System), implementing corrective measures to improve overall translation quality.
  • Continuous Improvement: Develop best practices across languages and projects, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the localization process.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in linguistics, translation technology, and industry trends.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in language management or translation, with a specific focus on localization projects.
  • 5+ years of experience as an editor or reviewer, specializing in localized content improvement and terminology management.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Languages/Translation or a related field.
  • Native proficiency in Canadian French and advanced English language skills.
  • Solid understanding of cloud-based IT infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with public sector processes and legal frameworks.
  • In-depth knowledge of language quality assessment and industry-standard translation tools.
