French Localization QA Tester for Video Games

Amber is seeking a talented French (Canadian) Localization Quality Assurance Tester to contribute to our team of multilingual professionals. You will play a vital role in ensuring the linguistic accuracy and cultural appropriateness of various game titles across mobile, PC, and console platforms.

As part of this dynamic environment, you will collaborate with developers and translators to deliver high-quality gaming experiences for a global audience.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough testing of text, images, and voice-over components in French (Canadian) to identify any potential issues.
  • Meticulously analyze translated content for accuracy, context, cultural relevance, and linguistic consistency.
  • Clearly document and report identified errors within our bug-tracking system, providing detailed explanations and suggested resolutions.
  • Contribute to the improvement of translated content by offering constructive feedback and alternative phrasing options.
  • Adhere to established terminology guidelines to ensure consistency across all localized materials.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to cross-reference different languages and maintain a high standard of quality control.
  • Follow instructions provided by the Test Lead and escalate any significant issues promptly.
Requirements:
  • Native-level proficiency in French (Canadian) is essential for this role.
  • You must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
  • Familiarity with various gaming platforms, including mobile, PC, and consoles, is highly desirable.
  • A genuine passion for video games and a keen interest in the gaming industry are crucial.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate and polished results are essential.
  • Professional proficiency in English is required for effective communication within the team.
