About the Role

Mott MacDonald is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Advisory Consultant to join our Canadian Advisory team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in delivering strategic advisory services to our clients in the public and private sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead the development of technical procurement documentation, including alternative forms of procurement such as Public-Private Partnerships (P3s), Construction Management General Contractors (CMGCs), and Design-Build-Operate (DBO) contracts.
  2. Support public sector authorities with strategic advice on procurement and capital expenditure for infrastructure programs and projects.
  3. Develop and implement risk management strategies for internal and external mandates.
  4. Provide coaching and oversight to team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality services.
  5. Review and approve reports and project audits, ensuring they meet the required standards.
  6. Support the preparation of proposals and internal commercial responsibility for project performance, including budgets and reporting.
  7. Contribute to the development of initiatives for the regional and global business.

Requirements

  1. A post-secondary degree with 15+ years of career experience in technical procurement documentation, engineering, and/or infrastructure development.
  2. Familiarity and proficiency with project management processes.
  3. Experience and knowledge of the engineering and construction industry, having delivered projects in multiple sectors.
  4. Knowledge and experience of risk identification, management, and mitigation.
  5. Excellent interpersonal skills and experience of leading and working within a team.
  6. Excellent written and presentation skills.
  7. Ability to work independently and unsupervised.
