About the Role
Mott MacDonald is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Advisory Consultant to join our Canadian Advisory team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and delivering strategic advisory roles for both public sector and private sector clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team to deliver advisory services, including business case development, economics, alternative procurement approaches, due diligence, climate change and sustainability, and asset management for major infrastructure projects.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure effective project delivery.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on risk management, project management, and commercial awareness to clients and internal teams.
- Contribute to the development of the Advisory services, including the identification of new business opportunities and the development of proposals.
- Support the development of procurement documentation, including alternative forms of procurement such as public-private partnerships (P3s), construction management general contractor (CMGC) models, and design-build-finance (DBF) models.
- Support structured decision-making and options assessment/appraisal mandates for clients.
- Support climate resilience and adaptation strategies, assessments, and implementation plans for clients.
- Support risk management for both internal and external mandates.
- Line management responsibility for coaching and overseeing team members.
- Check and approve reports and project audits.
- Support and lead the preparation of proposals.
- Internal commercial responsibility for project performance (including budgets) and reporting.
- Support initiatives for the regional and global business.
Requirements
- A post-secondary degree with 15+ years of career experience related to the development of technical procurement documentation, engineering, and/or infrastructure development.
- Familiarity and proficiency with project management processes.
- Experience and knowledge of the engineering and construction industry, having delivered projects in multiple sectors (e.g., built environment, transportation, water, energy, etc.).
- Knowledge and experience of risk identification, management, and mitigation.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and experience of leading and working within a team.
- Excellent written and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and unsupervised.

BC Pay Transparency
In compliance with the B.C. Pay Transparency Act, the expected salary range is from $130,000 - $160,000. Multiple factors such as qualifications, overall experience, and position responsibilities will be used to determine the successful candidate's actual salary within the expected range.
