Senior Advisory Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Advisory Manager to join our Advisory team at Mott MacDonald. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading strategic advisory roles for both public sector and private sector clients, with a focus on infrastructure development and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team to deliver strategic advisory services for major infrastructure projects, including business case development, economics, alternative procurement approaches, due diligence, climate change and sustainability, and asset management.
- Develop and implement project management plans, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery of projects.
- Provide commercial awareness and risk-based expertise to communicate effectively with senior client stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal teams to integrate advisory services with traditional engineering and project management offerings.
- Support the development of procurement documentation, including alternative forms of procurement such as P3s, CMGCs, and PDBs.
- Support structured decision-making and options assessment/appraisal mandates for clients.
- Support climate resilience and adaptation strategies, assessments, and implementation plans for clients.
- Support risk management for both internal and external mandates.
- Line management responsibility for coaching and overseeing team members.
- Check and approve reports and project audits.
- Support and lead the preparation of proposals.
- Internal commercial responsibility for project performance (including budgets) and reporting.
- Support initiatives for the regional and global business.
- A post-secondary degree with 15+ years of career experience related to the development of technical procurement documentation, engineering, and/or infrastructure development.
- Familiarity and proficiency with project management processes.
- Experience and knowledge of the engineering and construction industry, having delivered projects in multiple sectors (e.g. Built environment, Transportation, Water, Energy, etc.).
- Knowledge and experience of risk identification, management, and mitigation.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and experience of leading and working within a team.
- Excellent written and presentation skills.
- Able to work independently and unsupervised.
