About the Role
Mott MacDonald is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Advisory Consultant to join our Canadian Advisory team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in delivering strategic advisory services to our clients in the public and private sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of technical procurement documentation, including alternative forms of procurement such as Public-Private Partnerships (P3s), Construction Management General Contractors (CMGCs), and Design-Build-Operate (DBO) contracts.
- Support public sector authorities with strategic advice on procurement and capital expenditure for infrastructure programs and projects.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies for both internal and external mandates.
- Provide coaching and oversight to team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality advisory services.
- Review and approve reports and project audits, ensuring they meet the required standards.
- Support the preparation of proposals and internal commercial responsibility for project performance, including budgets and reporting.
- Contribute to the development of the Advisory services, including the identification of new business opportunities and the development of strategic partnerships.
Requirements
- A post-secondary degree with 15+ years of career experience related to the development of technical procurement documentation, engineering, and/or infrastructure development.
- Familiarity and proficiency with project management processes.
- Experience and knowledge of the engineering and construction industry, having delivered projects in multiple sectors (e.g., built environment, transportation, water, energy, etc.).
- Knowledge and experience of risk identification, management, and mitigation.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and experience of leading and working within a team.
- Excellent written and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and unsupervised.
