Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Director of Industry Partnerships. This part-time position will play a critical role in fostering strong relationships between Sheridan and industry partners, driving innovation and growth in our work-integrated learning programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to enhance industry partnerships and Co-op job development efforts
  • Build and maintain relationships with industry leaders and employers to create opportunities for students and graduates
  • Design and implement modern, streamlined practices for student talent acquisition and employer engagement
  • Lead strategy and operations to create additional Co-op job and Work-Integrated Learning opportunities externally through employers and community partners
  • Negotiate contracts and partnerships with industry associations and umbrella groups
  • Serve on community committees and boards to advance Sheridan's brand and advocate for student employment and WIL
Requirements
  • 7 years of professional experience in employer relations in higher education or work-integrated learning
  • Significant experience in program management, marketing, strategic planning, public relations, and supervisory experience
  • Demonstrated experience in leading mid-large projects or initiatives with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience in event planning and program management
  • Experience with report-writing, correspondence, and presentations
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certificate or completed courses in Project Management, Sales/Business Development, and/or Relationship Management
