Description:
As an Orthopaedic Technician, you will play a vital role in providing safe and effective care to patients with orthopaedic conditions. You will apply, adjust, and remove casts, splints, and traction equipment, while observing and monitoring patients' physical, mental, and emotional state. Your attention to detail and ability to provide quality care will make a significant difference in patients' lives.
Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Completion of an accredited specialty Orthopaedic Technician program. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:
Minimum 6 months of experience as an orthopedic technician. Connect Care training.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in an Emergency Department. Previous experience in an Acute Care, Cast clinic, Med/Surg or ICU department.
