As a valued member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality orthopaedic care to Canadian Armed Forces members at CFB Edmonton.

Responsibilities:

* Provide general orthopaedic consultation services to CAF members on a referral basis.
* Perform comprehensive diagnosis, medical management, and rehabilitation of patients.
* Determine procedures for preoperative and postoperative care, apply surgical procedures, and coordinate operations with anesthesiologists.
* Participate as a member of the multidisciplinary team for case conferences when on-site.
* Practice as a member of a multidisciplinary team and consult with members of other health professions as appropriate to ensure the healthcare needs of CAF members are met.
* Practice in accordance with the Canadian Armed Forces' Spectrum of Care, Drug Benefit List, and Code of Ethics.

Requirements:

* Licensed and in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
* Fellowship in Orthopaedic Surgery with the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC).
* Basic Life Support for Health Providers or CPR/AED Level C Certification.

Additional Requirements:

* Ability to obtain a Government Security Clearance at the Reliability level.
* CF Basic Aviation and Dive Medicine Certification is considered an asset but not mandatory.
