Director of Research and Development Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Research and Development to join our team at Skjodt-Barrett Foods. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving our product innovation strategy and leading a team of 15 people in the development of new and existing products.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in food science and experience in the food processing industry, specifically in product design and development. You will have a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and creating and implementing product development strategies. You will also have a high-level understanding of product formulation and ingredient functionality, as well as the ability to guide a product team in evaluating ingredient effectiveness and availability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the product innovation strategy in alignment with business objectives and market trends
  • Lead, develop, and optimize processes to manage multiple projects in the sales and innovation pipeline
  • Oversee the team, including managing, teaching, and mentoring the product development team
  • Integrate the latest food technologies in products for the market
