Position Overview

As a Food Operations Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the daily activities of our food service team at Tim Hortons. Your leadership will ensure that our culinary offerings meet the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staff Management: Supervise and coordinate the efforts of food preparation staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Training: Provide comprehensive training to new employees on job responsibilities, sanitation practices, and safety measures.
  • Inventory Management: Estimate and manage the necessary ingredients and supplies for meal preparation, maintaining optimal stock levels.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all food and service meet established quality control standards, addressing any customer complaints or concerns promptly.
  • Financial Oversight: Prepare budget forecasts and cost estimates to support operational efficiency.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and waste, and prepare reports as needed.
  • Scheduling: Establish and manage work schedules for the team to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
Work Environment

This position requires working in a fast-paced environment where you will be expected to handle multiple tasks under pressure. The role involves a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with physical demands including bending, crouching, and standing for extended periods.

Qualifications
  • Education: A secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in food service is an asset, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
  • Personal Attributes: Strong client focus, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Work Conditions

This role involves working approximately 40 hours per week in a dynamic setting that requires flexibility and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
