Automation Field Service Specialist

Position Overview
ProMach is in search of a skilled Automation Field Service Technician to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for individuals who possess a strong technical background in machinery and automation, and are open to travel approximately 60% of the time.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and configure all ProMach automation systems effectively.
- Conduct field rebuilds, whether partial or complete, of ProMach equipment.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by assisting clients with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, both remotely and on-site.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on sign-off processes, customer Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), and provide technical support.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to PLC, HMI programs, and Servo controllers in the field.
- Troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical challenges on ProMach systems.
- Advise customers on necessary parts and act as a consultant for parts procurement.
- Complete service reports, expense reports, and online incident reports in accordance with company policy.
- Be prepared to travel on short notice for customer emergencies.
- Manage your own travel and accommodation arrangements using the company system, adhering to established procedures.
- Engage in continuous learning by participating in training sessions and courses to stay updated on all ProMach products.

Qualifications
- Technical college or university trade certification (Millwright, Technician) with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- New graduates are welcome; we are committed to investing in your future through training and mentorship.
- Experience in the packaging or automation sector is preferred.
- Able to travel within North America 60% of the time.
- Diploma in PLC, HMI, Servo Controls, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to interpret pneumatic and wiring schematics, as well as adhere to industrial wiring and electrical codes.
- Strong knowledge of PLC, HMI, and Servo controls (e.g., Allen Bradley, Siemens, Omron, Festo, Bosch).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with pneumatics and a solid understanding of mechatronics.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, capable of addressing both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong prioritization skills with minimal supervision.
- Must possess a valid passport and be eligible for travel to and within the USA and Canada.
- Own vehicle required, along with a valid driver's license.

Compensation
- Minimum Salary: $75,000
- Midpoint Salary: $80,000
- Maximum Salary: $85,000
